City Market Sushi is a small sushi bar in the City Market complex on Blake Street, in the Moore Square district of downtown Raleigh. It has been in the same spot since 2016.
The menu is nigiri, sashimi and specialty rolls, with sake and Japanese beer to drink. Chef’s-choice plates are priced by the piece, from six nigiri at $33 to 15 pieces of sashimi at $58, and the specialty rolls include a soy-paper Ultimate Rainbow and a Truffle Hamachi with soft-shell crab. Seating is by waitlist, and the whole party has to be there before it is seated.
