Choate Construction Co.

Choate Construction is a commercial contractor with a Raleigh office on Wade Park Boulevard and work across the Southeast. The company handles preconstruction and construction management, and it is owned entirely by the people who work there, which is why staff call themselves employee-owners.

The projects are large. One of them, Commonwealth, turned 12 acres into a mixed-use district with 383 apartments, office space, shops and restaurants, restored mill buildings and green space you can walk through. The company’s own phrase for how it works is get gritty.
