Cary Oil Company

Cary Oil started out delivering home heating oil around Cary, and today it supplies fuel to convenience store retailers and wholesalers across the United States from an office on MacKenan Drive. The change in scale is considerable, but the name and the hometown stayed.

Alongside the fuel itself, the company offers tools meant to help retailers run a better business, and its experience is what it asks customers to weigh. Being part of a community, in its own telling, means taking an active role in it.

What to know

• The company distributes close to a billion gallons of fuel each year.
• More than nine hundred branded locations are supplied.
• Snapshot and PIX are two of the tools offered to retail customers.
• The company describes itself as a national gasoline wholesaler.
