Carolina Gunrunners

Carolina Gunrunners is a firearms shop on South Main Street in Wake Forest, in a former auto parts store near the 98 Bypass crossroads. It moved here in early 2026 after fifteen years in north Raleigh, close to doubling its floor space on the way. The business dates to 2011.

The shelves hold handguns, shotguns, rifles and ammunition, along with knives, optics and accessories. The staff take time to learn what a customer is after before recommending anything, whether it is a first purchase or a long-planned one.

What to know

• The store runs a large online storefront alongside the counter business.
• A federal firearms license lets the shop handle transfers for customers.
• The team also processes short-barreled rifles and suppressors.
• The new space runs to about 5,000 square feet.
• The shop has a staff of around sixteen people.
