Brodeto

Brodeto is chef Scott Crawford’s tribute to the Adriatic Sea, on Iron Works Drive in Raleigh. The menu draws on the cooking of Southern Italy and Croatia. Dishes lean light and seafood-heavy, the sort of food those coastlines are known for.

Drinks matter here as well. They were put together by beverage manager Jordan Joseph, who built a list of coastal cocktails along with amari and herbal liqueurs. The wine list pulls from Italy, Croatia and the wider Adriatic region. Dinner is the service the restaurant is set up for.

What to know

• A 3% surcharge is added when you pay by credit card.
• The restaurant says that fee is no more than it pays in processing.
