Benny Capitale’s

About

Benny Capitale’s is a slice shop on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, sitting on the block between the capitol building and the Raleigh Times. It opened there in 2017. The name is a nod to the location: capitale means capital in Italian.

The pizza comes off 28-inch pies, so the slices are large enough to need two hands. It belongs to the Benny’s family of shops, which started in 2011 when two college friends quit their city jobs to open a slice counter at Virginia Tech.
