Bass Pro Shops
About
Bass Pro Shops on Bass Pro Lane in Cary is an outdoor superstore, which undersells it a little. Hunting and archery gear, fishing tackle, camping equipment, boating supplies and outdoor clothing all have their own departments, each with an associate who knows the stock and will walk you through it.
The building itself is worth the trip. Hand-painted murals show North Carolina beaches, coastlines, forests and swamps, and wildlife mounts hang alongside old prints of tourists and residents out on their own adventures. It is part store and part museum.

- One largemouth in there tops ten pounds and was caught at Jordan Lake.
