Ballroom, Talley Student Center at North Carolina State University

The grand ballroom at NC State’s Talley Student Union holds up to 1,200 guests, which makes it one of the larger event rooms in Raleigh. It is on Cates Avenue in the middle of campus, inside the building at the center of student life.

Because it sits in a student union, everything else in the building is right there around it, from dining to lounges to meeting rooms. Groups use the ballroom for large gatherings, and organizations with no connection to the university can book it as well.

What to know

• Visitors not affiliated with the university contact the Information Desk to arrange an appointment.
• The building also holds recreational areas and student organization and government offices.
• Wolfpack Outfitters, a two-level student store, is inside, and there is a great lawn outside.
• Visitor parking is available at the Coliseum Parking Deck.
• Talley and Witherspoon Student Centers are both fully accessible buildings.
