Artspace, Inc.

Artspace is a nonprofit visual arts center on East Davie Street in downtown Raleigh, and it is marking its fortieth anniversary. More than thirty artists work in open studios there, so a visit usually means watching something being made.

The center also mounts exhibitions by national and community artists, keeps artists in residence, and teaches art classes for youth, teens, and adults of all abilities. Artspace describes itself as a hub for creativity and social practice. Its stated purpose is connecting artists and the community through the visual arts.
