Art by Shalimar
About
Art by Shalimar is the studio and gallery of Shalimar Waffa, a painter working on East Chatham Street in downtown Cary. She founded it there, and the work is oil on canvas laid on thick, ranging from quiet contemporary minimalism to big floral abstracts.
Most of what she paints is sold as an original, and the available pieces are listed online ready to ship. Collectors have said her work connects with them on an emotional level and speaks to the soul, which is a lot to ask of a painting.
