Arise Collective
About
Arise Collective is a Raleigh nonprofit that works with women who are in prison or coming out of it. The services run from chaplaincy inside the system to transition education, reentry support, and community engagement once a woman is home. The stated goal is a path to heal, grow, and thrive.
The organization’s roots go back to 1980, when Presbyterian Women across the state came together to fund the first female chaplain in the North Carolina prison system. It was known then as Interfaith Prison Ministry for Women.
