Annelore’s German Bakery is a konditorei on West Chatham Street in downtown Cary. Breads and pastries come out fresh every day, in the European style, and the room takes its cues from the old coffee houses of Munich and Vienna.
The flagship bakery opened in 2017 and runs to 3,600 square feet. Cakes, breads and confections share the counter, and the Black Forest cake is one of the items the bakery puts forward first. Anyone who has missed proper German baking will know what they are looking at.
