Anchor Bar

The Anchor is a cocktail bar on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, in a shotgun-style room inside a two-hundred-year-old building. The theme is nautical, the space is narrow, and it keeps the feel of a neighborhood bar despite sitting on a busy downtown block.

It opened in January 2015 with local craft beer, wine, and a long list of spirits, and the cocktail menu runs past a hundred drinks between originals and classics. The bar is about a thousand feet from the State Capitol building, under the downtown skyscrapers.
