Afl-Cio NC
About
The North Carolina State AFL-CIO is the state federation of labor unions, with an office on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. Affiliated unions and central labor councils make up the membership.
Those affiliated unions elect the leadership and decide what the federation takes on, which keeps the agenda in the hands of members. The work includes legislative advocacy, a labor school, internships and help for workers who want to form a union. North Carolina labor history is kept up as well.
