Learning Experience child care center in Rolesville gets occupancy permit
The Learning Experience, a new child care center at 302 S. Main St. in Rolesville, received a 30-day temporary certificate of occupancy on September 14, 2026, according to the Town of Rolesville’s project page. The center is not open yet. The company’s website lists the Rolesville location as “coming soon” and says pre-registration is open.
Neither the town nor the company has published an opening date. The town’s downtown business page still lists The Learning Experience among the businesses coming to Rolesville.
What the town’s permit record shows
The project sits on a 1.25-acre lot on S. Main Street, and the town’s project page lists these steps since 2024:
- On April 9, 2024, the Rolesville Board of Adjustment voted 4-0 to cut a required perimeter buffer from 25 feet to 7 feet on the part of the lot where a stormwater control measure and a sanitary sewer easement sit.
- The Town of Rolesville approved the site plan on August 16, 2024, after six rounds of technical review that ran from October 2023 to August 2024.
- Wake County Watershed Management approved the project and issued its permits on December 12, 2024.
- City of Raleigh Utilities approved the plans on January 21, 2025, which gave the site plan full approval.
- A preconstruction meeting was held on February 11, 2025, and construction was expected to begin before April 2025.
- The City of Raleigh’s public utilities department issued a conditional acceptance letter on August 5, 2026.
- A fee in lieu of improvements to Old Rogers Road was paid on August 20, 2026.
- The town issued temporary certificates of completion on September 11, 2026, and the temporary certificate of occupancy on September 14, 2026.
The temporary certificate of occupancy is good for 30 days, according to the project page. A close-out application for the site has been under review since August 2026, the page says. The town lists Marlane Klintworth of MVK Commercial as the project contact.
