Northwest Park

About

Northwest Park is a Town of Morrisville neighborhood park on Parkside Valley Drive in the northwest corner of town, off Airport Boulevard and Louis Stephens Drive near the Durham County line.

It is built for small children. The playground has a tot-lot and separate areas for ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12, and a paved walking track with fitness bars circles an open multi-purpose field. A picnic shelter with restrooms, picnic tables and benches round out the park, and four kinds of stormwater treatment are worked into the grounds.

What to know

  • The playground surface is rubberized, and there are no swings.
  • Eight of the 10 picnic tables are under the shelter, which rents through the town’s online portal.
  • A chess table and a little free library sit by the walking track; bring your own pieces.
  • The parking lot is small and sits next to the playground.
