Hatcher Creek and Crabtree Creek Greenways

About

Hatcher Creek and Crabtree Creek Greenways are two connected Town of Morrisville greenways with trailheads at Morrisville Community Park on Morrisville Parkway and Cedar Fork District Park on Aviation Parkway.

Hatcher Creek Greenway runs about 1.4 miles from Davis Drive to Town Hall Drive. Crabtree Creek Greenway picks up at Crabtree Crossing Parkway and runs about 1.4 miles through Cedar Fork District Park to Evans Road, passing under the railroad. Both follow creek and wetland, and together they are the longest continuous walk the town has built.

What to know

  • Hatcher Creek Greenway opened in 2018; the Crabtree Creek railroad underpass followed in September 2020.
  • Restrooms and parking are at both park trailheads.
  • The underpass means the route never crosses NC 54 at grade.
  • The whole route is paved, and the Evans Road end reaches the Cary town line.
