Chop Shop BBQ & Grill is a small barbecue counter inside a gas-station convenience store on East Six Forks Road in Raleigh, just inside the Beltline near Wake Forest Road.
It smokes pulled pork and chicken over oak and hickory embers and sells them as sandwiches, plates and family bundles, with mac and cheese, cowboy beans and potato salad on the side. A fried chicken sandwich and a chicken salad plate share the board, and the kitchen caters with drop-off pans and boxed lunches. The News & Observer’s food writer ranked it among the ten best barbecue joints in the Triangle.
