Casa Carbone Ristorante is a family-run Southern Italian restaurant in a strip on Glenwood Avenue near Pleasant Valley in northwest Raleigh, co-owned by Maria and Michael, whose children and relatives have worked the room over the years.
The menu is Southern Italian: veal parmigiana, marsala and piccata, beef braciole, lobster ravioli, sausage and peppers, and pastas such as linguine with clams and fettuccine carbonara, with gluten-free pasta on request. Maria makes the desserts and the special menus. The meatballs and marinara are made fresh, and the house sauces and dressings are sold to go. The family says it now cooks for the grandchildren of its first customers.
