Warehouse BBQ is coming to Capital Boulevard

Warehouse BBQ, the Youngsville smokehouse, is opening a second restaurant at 12281 Capital Blvd. in Wake Forest. The Town of Wake Forest’s list of new businesses shows Warehouse BBQ at that address as permitted in June.

The company’s site lists the Capital Boulevard address with a Wake Forest phone number, (984) 227-9766. The restaurant has not opened. The site shows every day of the week as closed, and no opening date has been announced.

Who owns Warehouse BBQ

Archie Ware owns Warehouse BBQ. According to the company’s Our Story page, Ware smokes the meats himself every day.

The same page says Ware ran a barbecue restaurant in Freeport, New York, for about 29 years before handing it to his son and moving south. Writing about that handoff, he says, “I carried everything I’d learned with me.”

Warehouse BBQ started as a food truck in 2021, working events and stops in Wake and Franklin counties. The company later opened a restaurant, Warehouse BBQ in Youngsville, at 1150 US-1, Suite 215, in Youngsville. The truck still runs out of the Youngsville restaurant.

What is on the menu

The company’s site leads with slow-smoked meat and scratch-made sides, and the Our Story page puts brisket first. The items listed across the site include:

• Smoked beef brisket, including a brisket entree.
• A dino beef rib entree.
• Smoked rib tips and pulled pork sandwiches.
• A pork chop sandwich.
• Chicken wings in several flavors.
• Collard greens, mac and cheese and fried okra on the side.

The restaurant takes online orders and does delivery, takeout and catering. It runs a rewards program for online orders.

Youngsville hours and the food truck

The Youngsville restaurant is open Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. It is closed Monday and Tuesday.

The food truck travels across Wake, Franklin and nearby counties, according to the company’s site.
