Timber Pizza Co.

Timber Pizza Co. is a wood-fired pizzeria on East Whitaker Mill Road in Raleigh. It came here from Washington, DC, and has since been recognized by the Michelin Guide. The crust is the point: a rustic wood-fired base that comes out blistered and char-kissed but still tender.

The kitchen runs seven days a week for lunch and dinner, so it works for a weeknight dinner as easily as a weekend one with friends. It is a casual place, and the wood oven does most of the talking.
