Rolesville Fall FunFest
11 a.m.-4 p.m. · Redford Place Park
Rolesville's main fall family event takes over Redford Place Park for five hours on a Saturday in November, and it is built squarely for children rather than adults who have brought children.
On the ground:
- Inflatables
- Yard games
- Bubbles
- Music
- A photo booth
- A fire truck fall photo
- Food trucks
- Beer and wine vendors
The fire truck photo is the one that ends up on the fridge, and the line for it is shortest in the first hour.
Rolesville is the fastest-growing town in Wake County by percentage, having added roughly 150 per cent to its population between 2010 and 2020, and events like this are how a town that size keeps up with itself. A park full of families who mostly moved in within the last decade is the practical version of community building.
Mid-November in this part of North Carolina can be anything from shirtsleeves to genuinely cold, and Redford Place is open ground. Check the forecast the night before and dress the children in layers you are willing to carry back to the car.
Specific food truck and vendor lineups are usually announced closer to the date rather than months ahead, so if that matters to your plans it is worth a look the week of.
