Triangle Youth Music
About
Triangle Youth Music is a youth music education organization on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, running ensembles at several levels so students can move up as they develop. It grew out of a group of thirty-five high school musicians from around the Triangle who came together in early 1988 to form a symphony orchestra.
From there the Triangle Youth Philharmonic expanded into a full symphony orchestra, and thousands of young players have passed through since. The organization treats friendship and shared performance as part of the point, alongside the musicianship itself.
