The Woman’s Club of Raleigh

About

The Woman’s Club of Raleigh has been volunteering in the city since 1904. It is a nonprofit organization for women with a mission of community service through volunteerism, and it is managed entirely by the members themselves. Membership orientation, board meetings, and committee work fill the calendar between projects.

More than 200 women belong, and the club organizes volunteer efforts and fundraising events that support local organizations. The clubhouse on Woman’s Club Drive is where the meetings and programs happen, and members take on the work in whatever way suits their own schedules.

What to know

  • The club is a registered 501(c)(3) charity.
  • It is non-political, non-denominational, and open to women of any background.
  • A Night program spans every club program for women who prefer evening and weekend volunteering.
  • The club has its own singing group, the TWCR Singers.
  • General meetings include dinner, and members reserve a place in advance.
