The Royal Banquet & Conference Center

The Royal is an event venue on Hillsborough Street at the edge of downtown Raleigh, in the old Royal Bakery building. Jewel tones, neutral paint, and Old World decor sit against the building’s exposed historic brick, and the contrast is the charm of the place.

People who grew up in Raleigh during the 1950s and 1960s remember the smell of fresh bread drifting down Hillsborough Street, and students came through on field trips to see the bread bakery. That history is part of what the venue offers along with the room itself.
