The Raleigh Concert Band

The Raleigh Concert Band is a nonprofit that gives adult musicians the chance to perform high-quality music for community audiences. The performances cover a range of sounds and styles, and the players treat reaching listeners of all ages as part of the job.

The band traces its line back through several earlier amateur groups that played from the middle of the twentieth century until around 1975: the Raleigh City Band, the Raleigh Municipal Band, and an earlier Raleigh Concert Band. The current group carries that name forward.
