The Carolina Popcorn Shoppe is a small gourmet popcorn shop on Western Boulevard in Raleigh. The family behind it has been popping for the Raleigh and Cary area since 2000, and they still make every batch themselves rather than buying it in.
More than twenty flavors are on offer at any given time, which makes choosing the difficult part of the visit. Sweet, salty and cheesy all get their turn on the shelf. It is the kind of shop you walk into for one bag and walk out carrying three.
