The Bicycle Chain Raleigh

The Bicycle Chain has a Raleigh store on Glenwood Avenue, one of several the company runs in North Carolina. The floor carries Specialized, Cannondale and Aventon, including electric bikes, so you can buy a bike and keep it running in the same place.

Behind the sales floor is a full service repair center with certified technicians, which is where most customers end up eventually, since every bicycle needs work sooner or later. The stated mission is simple: you should leave happier than when you came in.

What to know

• Members of the shop’s club get free flat tire repairs for the life of the bike.
• Tune-ups are among the regular services handled by the repair center.
• The shop hires for both sales and service, full time and part time.
• Applications are accepted even when no position is open, and kept on file.
