About
The BBQ Lab serves North Carolina barbecue at Main at North Hills in Raleigh, with a beer list running alongside the food. It started in January 2017, when Jerry L. Stephenson Jr. and a college friend built a restaurant around Jerry’s award-winning barbecue after a few years of talking it over.
The meat goes on the smokers many hours before it is served, because real barbecue takes that long. The kitchen calls its approach North Carolina barbecue with a scientific twist, which is where the name comes from.
