Stir Raleigh
About
STIR is a cocktail bar and restaurant on Six Forks Road in north Raleigh, in the Bank of America building. The cocktails are made with artisanal ice, house bitters and syrups, and fresh ingredients, and the kitchen cooks everything from scratch.
A cold bar keeps fresh oysters and seasonal seafood on hand, and the menu carries through lunch, dinner, and brunch. Between the ice program and the specials the chef puts up, it is a place that rewards paying attention to the details on the menu.
What to know
- The bar freezes and carves 300-pound blocks of ice in house.
- Juices are pressed and ingredients are sliced on site.
- The back bar includes bottles that are hard to find, such as 23-year-old Pappy Van Winkle.
- An 18-year-old WhistlePig Rye is among the rarer pours.
- Tables can be reserved ahead of a visit.
