Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern serves fine dining inside the historic Dodd-Hinsdale House on Hillsborough Street in downtown Raleigh. The setting is elegant and old, and the menu and polished service have carried the AAA Four Diamond Award three times, with awards going back to 1998.
The dinner menu changes with the seasons and comes from Chef Daniel Schurr, built on the freshest ingredients each one brings. The house also hosts weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, and corporate dinners, so a celebration can take over the place.
