About
River Ridge Golf Club sits on Auburn-Knightdale Road in Raleigh, just across the line from Knightdale. Its 18 holes were designed by landscape architect Chuck Smith, who counted the course among the best work of his career.
Golfers here play through wetlands, lakes, large rock outcroppings and gentle hills, and the terrain is some of the most varied in the Triangle. The club keeps the course in good condition while leaving the natural setting alone, so a round is as much about the scenery as the score.
