Raleighwood Veterinary Hospital
About
Raleighwood Veterinary Hospital is the new name for the practice on Brookwood Drive, which has cared for pets at that spot since 1976. The change was announced in May 2026, when it stopped being the Brookwood Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Amanda Jeffries leads it now. She earned her DVM from NC State University in 2014 and then worked as a veterinarian for the United States military before returning to practice in Raleigh. In an era of corporate-owned clinics and high-volume practices, this one remains locally owned and operated.
What to know
- Her military postings included Dover Air Force Base and Naval Support Activity Bahrain.
- Dentistry is done in house, including ultrasonic scaling, polishing, and oral surgery.
- X-rays, laboratory testing, and cytology are all handled on site for fast answers.
- The practice writes a blog called The Brookwood Bark.
