Raleigh Times Bar

The Raleigh Times Bar is a downtown watering hole in the building that once housed the newspaper it is named for. The Times building went up on East Hargett Street in 1906, and the restoration kept the character of the hundred-year-old place.

Old press clippings and images from the paper hang on the walls, carrying a good deal of the city’s political and cultural history. The kitchen puts creative turns on classic bar fare, and the drink list is long, with an extensive Belgian beer selection.
