Raleigh Area Flute Association
About
The Raleigh Area Flute Association has brought flute players around the Triangle together since 1985. It has no single address, since its events move around Wake County, and it counts a large extended family of teachers and students among its members.
The calendar mixes informal coffeehouse performances with a yearly Review and Contest held at Meredith College. Members have also played the national anthem at NC Courage matches, which is a long way from a recital hall and a fair sign of how far the group reaches.
What to know
- The association is organized as a nonprofit corporation.
- Membership dues and contributions pay for the group’s activities.
- Support comes from individuals and businesses across North Carolina and nationwide.
- Board officers are nominated and voted on each May for the coming season.
