Pepsi Bottling Ventures makes and sells soft drinks from its headquarters on Parklake Avenue in Raleigh. It started in 1943 as the Island Bottling Company in Long Island, New York, with four trucks and not much else.
It is now the largest independent Pepsi-Cola bottler in the country, with more than 800 individual beverage products moving through its system. Millions of customers have been served across the country since those first years. The head office is here, which makes it a Raleigh company with a reach well past North Carolina.
