Oak City Cycling Project
About
Oak City Cycling is a local, independent bike shop on North Person Street in downtown Raleigh. The aim is to get more people riding, and the shop works at that through sales, service, outreach and community.
The mechanics are friendly neighborhood ones who meet riders where they are. You do not need to know what a derailleur is for them to get your shifting sorted out, and estimates are free, no obligation and given without an appointment. The shop stands by its work and does its very best for every rider who walks in.
What to know
- Custom bike builds are part of what the shop does.
- A purpose-built Surly Karate Monkey is one example of a custom build.
- Made-to-measure titanium frames from Mosaic can be built up here.
- FINE bicycles, born in Raleigh, are close to the shop’s heart.
