North Carolina Museum of History Museum Shop

About

The Museum Shop of the North Carolina Museum of History is now on Glenwood Avenue in downtown Raleigh, having moved there while the museum’s own building is out of service. It sells gifts, goodies and a good deal of work handcrafted here in North Carolina.

The shop is worth a stop on its own, and plenty of customers come in without seeing an exhibit first. Buying something here sends money back to the museum, and the staff will wrap it up for you before you go.

What to know

  • The shop moved to its Glenwood Avenue location about a year ago.
  • The museum’s Edenton Street building is closed for a multi-year renovation.
  • Gift wrapping is free, and a gift message can be added in the cart notes.
  • Books, puzzles, toys and America 250 items are among the goods stocked.
  • Purchases can be made online as well as in the store.
