Nature Art Gallery at NC Museum of Natural Sciences

The Nature Art Gallery is part of the Museum Store at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences on West Jones Street in downtown Raleigh, on a campus that runs to 300,000 square feet. The store around it sells dinosaur models, science toys, rock and mineral specimens, and books.

Because it is inside the museum, a visit fits easily around the exhibits, and it is a good place to find a gift on the way out. The store also carries T-shirts tied to the museum’s exhibitions.

What to know

• Items from the store can also be bought online.
• One recent T-shirt marks the Nanotyrannus discovery announced by the museum.
• The museum’s Dueling Dinosaurs exhibition is elsewhere in the same building.
• The wider museum also runs the Prairie Ridge Ecostation and a site in Whiteville.
