Michelle Snead Portraits
About
Michelle Snead is a Raleigh portrait artist who has taken commissions for close to three decades. She turned to art full time in 1985, after five years of teaching high school English.
She studied English at Wake Forest University first, then earned a second degree, in fine art, from Meredith College in 1997. She treats a commission as a personal matter: when someone hires her, she says, they have opened a door into their life and let her in. Music has been a large part of her life as well.
