Makena Skin Care is a facial studio on St. Mary’s Street in downtown Raleigh, open there since 2011. It has been voted best facial in Raleigh, and the room is kept quiet so a treatment feels like a real break. The studio sits between Morgan and Hargett streets.
Treatments are built around calming and nourishing the skin and protecting the skin barrier. Every facial is customized to the client, so the same treatments can suit different ages, skin types and skin conditions. Kathleen Makena, who runs the studio, has been a licensed esthetician since 2005.
