Leela Improv Theatre

About

Leela is an improv theater company on North Boylan Avenue in Raleigh, and it is the Triangle’s home for improvisation. It was founded in San Francisco in 2003, and it is celebrating 23 years in 2026.

The name comes from an ancient Sanskrit word, and the company was built to create and produce original work through improvisation. It is locally owned, a mom and pop theater by its own description, and the goal is a joyful, creative, connected community where people from all walks of life come together to play.
