Incendiary Brewing Taproom

About

Incendiary Brewing Company runs its Raleigh taproom at Bloc 83 on West Morgan Street, one of three the company operates. The beer list leans toward fun and adventurous brews, with enough classics to keep everyone at the table happy.

The company was started by Brandon Branscome and John Bacon, who brewed their first batch together as UNCG students in 1997. It was a brown ale, and it failed. They picked the hobby back up in 2013 after becoming neighbors, and opened the brewery over Labor Day weekend in 2018.

What to know

  • The other two taprooms are at the Bailey Power Plant in Winston-Salem and in Lewisville.
  • The founders took first place in the IPA category at the 2016 Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing.
  • That win came against roughly 450 other IPAs in a national competition.
  • Coalpit Live, a summer concert series, started in 2021.
