Greg Poole Jr. All Faiths Chapel

The Greg Poole, Jr. All Faiths Chapel sits in Dix Park on Richardson Drive, and it is the first indoor space the park has opened. It works now as an event center, available for the sort of gathering a small chapel suits.

The building went up in 1955 and its mid-century modern lines have been kept intact. Decorative wood, terrazzo floors, stainless fixtures from the period and a rose stained-glass window are all still in place, which is rare for a building of that age.

What to know

• The Dix Park Conservancy renovated the building in 2020.
• That work added the amenities of a modern community gathering space.
• Fourteen stained glass panels, put in around 1969, came from Steininger.
• The chapel can be booked for events held in the park.
