Goodberry’s Frozen Custard
About
Goodberry’s Frozen Custard started in Raleigh in 1988, and this shop is on Clark Avenue. The custard is all natural and made fresh every hour from a scratch recipe of milk, eggs, and simple ingredients. It comes out thick enough that they serve it to you upside down.
The founders set out to make the finest frozen dessert available anywhere. The idea was to go back to how ice cream was made at a creamery 50 years earlier, before chemical fillers and stabilizers became standard. There are ten Goodberry’s locations in North Carolina now.
