First Church of Christ Scientist
About
First Church of Christ, Scientist is on Hillsborough Street in downtown Raleigh, and it describes itself as a healing church. The teaching is based on the Bible and on the words of Christ Jesus, and anyone is welcome to come and worship.
Christian Science as a whole traces back to Mary Baker Eddy, and her writings sit alongside scripture in the practice here. The congregation meets on Hillsborough Street, one of the busiest routes through the city, so the building is straightforward to find for anyone coming from out of town.
