Figulina
About
Figulina is a handmade pasta restaurant on South Harrington Street, in downtown Raleigh’s Warehouse District. Chef David Ellis runs the kitchen, and the cooking sits where Italian tradition meets Southern ingredients, with a few turns picked up from his British upbringing and his travels.
Pasta is made fresh every day using traditional Italian techniques and tools, which is the whole point of the place. Around it sit seasonal plates large and small, and a wine list chosen with care. The room was designed by Sam Taylor, the chef’s wife and the restaurant’s creative director.
