Epic Axe – Raleigh

About

Epic Axe throws axes inside Morgan Street Food Hall in downtown Raleigh, which means you can eat and drink your way around the hall and then take a lane. Lanes are booked online, from half an hour up to an hour or more.

Coaches are on hand and the house asks that you stay open to coaching, so a first-timer is not left to work it out alone. Billy McDaniel owns the place, and he says he never expected to end up in the axe throwing business.

What to know

  • Throwers must be at least 12 years old.
  • Anyone bringing a hatchet of their own needs it to be WATL certified.
  • Staff walk throwers through the hold and the release.
  • Waiting for the all-clear is part of the lane rules.
