Corbett’s Burgers & Soda Bar at Wakefield is the north Raleigh branch of a small North Carolina group, out on Falls of Neuse Road. The aim, as the owners put it, is the best burgers and hot dogs in town.
Patties are a fresh Angus butcher’s blend of hand-selected chuck, round and sirloin. The sides and toppings are made in house, including buttermilk coleslaw, baked beans, pimento cheese and hot dog chili, so most of what reaches the plate was made on site. The soda bar is there in the name, and the sodas get billed alongside the burgers.
