Clouds Brewing Taproom

Clouds Brewing has its taproom on Front Street in Raleigh, pouring beer it brews itself along with pub food that goes past the usual bar plate. The brewery started in 2014 and is based in the Triangle, and the beers lean German in style and American in the making.

The Raleigh room is one of three places the company runs. There is a restaurant with arcade games in Durham and an underground bar in Chapel Hill, so the same beer turns up in three quite different settings across the region.

What to know

• The Durham spot is a Brewcade and Kitchen in historic Brightleaf Square.
• Storm Cellar, the Chapel Hill bar on Franklin Street, opened in 2024.
• That bar keeps pool tables, darts and a stack of board games.
